RAGGLYF ist eine fünf bis zwölfköpfige Band, die 2016 vom ghanaischen Musiker K‘Daanso in Mainz gegründet wurde. Ihre Musik ist eine Synthese aus Reggae, Afrobeats und den unverwechselbaren Klängen des Ghana Highlife. Die Freude an der Musik und der Verbundenheit ist das wesentliche Element ihrer Bühnenpräsenz. Musikalisch und in ihrer Zusammensetzung will die Band Brücken zwischen dem afrikanischen und dem europäischen Kontinent bauen. Die Songtexte adressieren Themen beider Lebenswelten und sind dabei lebensnah, authentisch und durchaus auch mal gesellschaftskritisch.

The joy of music and connection is the essential element of their stage presence. Musically and lyrically, they bridge Africa and Europe. They authentically address themes of both worlds.
