Dicke Backen at its best – das sind die Fat Cheeks aus Gimbsheim! Sieben Musiker:innen aus Rheinhessen heben den Begriff „Blasmusik“ auf eine andere Ebene – fernab von gedanklichen Richtlinien und Traditionen zeigt diese Band, was man aus Blasinstrumenten so alles rausholen kann! Bei Songs von Peter Fox, Moop Mama und LaBrassbanda zeigt die Kombo aus Rapper, Trompete, zwei Saxophonen, Tenorhorn, Tuba und Schlagzeug, was eine moderne Blaskapelle so drauf hat! Mit viel Kreativität und einem gewissen Maß an Ironie werden dabei Songs aus der Rap-, Urban- und Party-Szene neu interpretiert. Dabei sind alle Mittel erlaubt und werden nur zu gern in die Performance eingebaut! Ganz egal ob Guerilla-Gig oder die große Bühne – Spaß und die Nähe zum Publikum definieren das Ziel: Ein Event mit tanzenden Menschen, ausgelassener Stimmung und einer Band, die so schnell keiner vergisst!

Big cheeks at their best – that’s the Fat Cheeks from Gimbsheim! Seven musicians from Rheinhessen take the term “brass band music” to another level – far removed from any mental guidelines and traditions, this band shows what you can get out of brass instruments! With songs by Peter Fox, Moop Mama and LaBrassbanda, the combo of rapper, trumpet, two saxophones, tenor horn, tuba and drums shows what a modern brass band can do! Songs from the rap, urban and party scene are reinterpreted with a lot of creativity and a certain amount of irony. All means are allowed and are only too gladly incorporated into the performance! Whether it’s a guerrilla gig or the big stage – fun and closeness to the audience define the goal: an event with dancing people, an exuberant atmosphere and a band that nobody will forget in a hurry!
